Birthday card

Image
Hello!  There's always a need for new b-day cards.  And when you find images that are on special at 1.5$ well that is even better!  The card that I made is using a great image called glamour nana it's from Sandra Caldwell and you can find it here . And right now she's sponsoring over at Outlawz sketch challenge so it's a great opportunity to win more fabulous images! I decided to play along with the sketch this week (something that I had not done in quite a long time!)  because I really need some b-day cards for the upcoming months.  So it was perfect. Here's my card I colored the image with copics and then fussy cut her out.  The glasses were covered with some glossy accent and I put some gel roll pen on the earings as well as on the glasses.  It doesn't really show on the picture but they are all shiny.  The sentiment is from my good friend Lisa Decosse , she had provided me with a bunch of different bonne fête sentiments!  The paper is from a freebie

I got to play with the fabulous Smoochies.  When I saw him I just KNEW what I wanted to make with him.  You see I have a little nephew (turning 5 this year) and he's totally into the typical boy things!  Loves cars and stuff like that.  So couldn't just send him a girly valentine! I had seen a fellow youtuber (Maggie Lockley) use a puzzle piece recently and that gave me the idea for this special Valentine.  You can see the making of it here: And here is the close picture for you I finally got to use some of those GINORMOUS puzzle piece that had been given to me by a friend.  I don't get to play with them much because they are HUGE!!!!  I played with paints and stencils.  The image was colored with my copics and then fussy cut out.  The sentiment was stamped and then just edge

Dreams demand patience - The East wind

Image
Hey everyone!  Happy hump day!  Hope your week is great so far.  I can't wait for the weekend for more play time lol but so far the week is still good. Today I'm here to share with you 2 new digis from The East Wind.  One that you can get as a Freebie if you are registered for the newsletter here . For that one I decided to make a journal spread and just have fun and also remind myself that it will take time and patience to make my dreams come true but they will happen! So here is the video if you want to see it: And here is the spread. I used my dylusions paints for this I hadn't played with them in a while.  I added some stenciling.  The dreams is a project life card that I thought was perfect for this and was actually the color inspiration for this spread.  The image was colored with my copics.  I stamped using my rubber placemat. And here is the 2nd make that I did for today.  This time it's using a brand new digi that you can find here I used this

Recycled Christmas cards wk 5

Image
Yes I managed to do it again!!!  Recycled more Christmas cards :)  My stash is getting bigger and I'm feeling quite encouraged by this. Not only am I getting those cards done but I'm also using stickers that hardly stick anymore...and bits of papers left from tons of previous projects.  And even doing this my scrap pile doesn't seem to diminish.  At least I know that I'm finally using my stuff!  And that was a big resolution for me this year. You can watch the process of how I turned 3 cards into those :) As mentioned in the videos I use premade card bases that I have had also for years!  My god the stuff that we hoard... or I should say "I" hoard!!! I'm entering this set of cards in the following challenges: Crafting from the heart challenge blog  - Anything goes The papergirls challenge  - Patterned paper - used a lot of little scraps Crafty hazelnuts patterned paper  - Patterned paper Christmas cards all year round  - Snowflakes - I
