Another Birthday oh my

Hello!  I'm back with another birthday card.  Told you last week that I had LOADS to do... I wasn't lying lol  I wanted to make this one all weekend but I felt really bad... to the point that my daughter actually forced me to stay sitting down doing nothing.

Not easy getting old, body parts hurt.... and blood pressure goes haywire on you for no apparent reason just here and there....  oh well that is life isn't it. And speaking of getting old here is the birthday card that I was talking about.  I used another fabulously glamourous girl from Sandra Caldwell called Miss Lula Mae.  She's on special until tomorrow at 1.5$ what a great deal here.  And she's on special because there's a contest on FB group page to use her!!! That contest also ends tomorrow.  So join in!!!  You will see the link in the challenges that I'm entering because of course you KNOW I will be joining in.

Now there's also over at Outlawz for the entire month a sponsoring from Sandra for the sketch challenge.  So I figured I would use that fab sketch this week again. It really helps because I haven't been doing many cards recently so it's great to have a starting point.  And my card from last week was showcased this week!!!  I was super excited about that.

I had a strip of paper (maybe it was given to me... I don't remember) and it was 2 sided.  Just perfect for this card.  That was the starting point.  Then I really wanted to punch this up a bit hence the yellow :)  I was really wondering what to use for the corner instead of a flower because I wanted it to stay fairly flat (it's going oversea...).  When looking around I found a jar of buttons of odd shapes that I had gottern as a gift from my dad going to garage sale!  Score!!!  The image was colored with my copics.  I added gel roll pen on the glasses and the jewelry.  And the glasses where layered with glossy accent.  The sentiment is from Imagine that.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

  1. Outlawz challenges sketch challenge
  2. Sandra Caldwell FB group - glam girls
  3. Corrosive challenges - Anything goes
  4. Crafty friends challenge blog - Anything goes
  5. Brown sugar challenge - Rhinestone and/or ribbon - went with ribbon
That's it for me for tonight!!!  Hope you have a great evening.

Birthday card

Hello!  There's always a need for new b-day cards.  And when you find images that are on special at 1.5$ well that is even better!  The card that I made is using a great image called glamour nana it's from Sandra Caldwell and you can find it here.

And right now she's sponsoring over at Outlawz sketch challenge so it's a great opportunity to win more fabulous images!

I decided to play along with the sketch this week (something that I had not done in quite a long time!)  because I really need some b-day cards for the upcoming months.  So it was perfect.

Here's my card
I colored the image with copics and then fussy cut her out.  The glasses were covered with some glossy accent and I put some gel roll pen on the earings as well as on the glasses.  It doesn't really show on the picture but they are all shiny.  The sentiment is from my good friend Lisa Decosse, she had provided me with a bunch of different bonne fête sentiments!  The paper is from a freebie pack received with a subscription to Quick cards.  And I finished this card with a bit of washi.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

  1. Outlawz challenges - sketch challenge
  2. Sandra Caldwell Stamp FB group  - Glamour girl contest
  3. Everybody-art-challenge.blogspot - Doing for the girls only
  4. A perfect time to craft - Anything goes
  5. Scribbles designs challenge - Birthday bonanza - happy b-day guys!!!!
That's it for me.  Hope you have a great day.

Love you to pieces - Smoochies

Hello!!!  There's new digis over at Babycakes design aka Sandra Caldwell designs and you will just fall in love with them.... yeah... it's Valentine's day that's coming up.

I got to play with the fabulous Smoochies.  When I saw him I just KNEW what I wanted to make with him.  You see I have a little nephew (turning 5 this year) and he's totally into the typical boy things!  Loves cars and stuff like that.  So couldn't just send him a girly valentine!

I had seen a fellow youtuber (Maggie Lockley) use a puzzle piece recently and that gave me the idea for this special Valentine.  You can see the making of it here:
And here is the close picture for you
I finally got to use some of those GINORMOUS puzzle piece that had been given to me by a friend.  I don't get to play with them much because they are HUGE!!!!  I played with paints and stencils.  The image was colored with my copics and then fussy cut out.  The sentiment was stamped and then just edge with my sharpie.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

  1. Aud sentiments challenge blog - Masculine project
  2. Craft rocket challenges - It's a love thing
  3. Simon says stamp blog - the color of love
  4. Digichoosday - Anything goes
  5. Tuesday throwdown - Love notes
That's it for me for today.  Hope you will like this messy but OH so fun project :)
